Argentinian visit to viamon: working together for international success

Latin America is considered one of the most promising growth markets in the field of solar energy – a topic that has played an increasingly important role for viamon since the end of 2023. In order to better understand this market and explore potential collaborations, viamon recently welcomed guests: Prof. Dr. Rubén Ascúa, Rector of the Universidad Nacional de Rafaela in Argentina, and Prof. Dr. Walter Ruda from Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. The visit came about through the connection of Alina Baumgärtner, assistant to the management at viamon. As a former student at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, she wrote her bachelor’s thesis with Prof. Ruda, in which she dealt intensively with market entry in Latin America and made valuable contacts in the process. Together with Timo Braunstein (Head of Project Management) and Felix Rosenwald (Project Management), the participants discussed the potential of the solar market in Latin America and possible cooperation approaches. The close cooperation with Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, especially through the dual students at viamon, supports such international connections and strengthens the company’s goal of establishing itself in South America.

The visit shows how important connections between companies, universities and international partners are in order to reach new markets and drive global projects forward. With Prof. Dr. Rubén Ascúa’s valuable contacts, viamon has taken a further step towards Latin America. We look forward to future collaboration and international exchange.
