SENSOR MDS-T/TR

SENSOR MDS-T/TR secures (copper) cable

The MDS T/TR is smaller than ever. It is installed inconspicuously inside or outside cable bundles. Thanks to its independent power supply and its own communication, it reliably detects dismantling, removal, cutting and theft. At the same time, the MDS-T/TR enables the worldwide detection of cables on cable harnesses, doors or other objects. The integrated rechargeable battery offers a rechargeable version with an operating time of 3-5 years.

With the MDS-P, the MDS-I sensor has been consistently further developed for stand-alone applications, even in robust environments, and for maximum flexibility in use. Thanks to a battery pack with 3 Li batteries with a total charging capacity of 10 Ah, the MDS sensor can be operated around the clock, 7 days a week, for up to 4 years. In this mode, the sensor provides daily data. Thanks to its compact and robust design, it can be used almost anywhere and under the most adverse conditions.

SENSOR MDS-PIR

SENSOR MDS-PIR protects objects such as : Construction site facilities, entrances, remote critical infrastructures, solar installations, containers, rooms, cell phone masts, etc.

MDS-PIR is a sensor for object and perimeter protection that has been developed by combining viamon’s core technology MDS with 1 to 3 passive infrared sensors (PIR) and a battery pack with a very high storage capacity for maximum operating times. The MDS-PIR is typically used where areas or objects need to be protected against access in a high-performance, reliable and cost-effective manner. The device simply needs to be mounted on the object or in the area. The waterproof housing allows it to be used in almost any environment.

The device then monitors the object or area autonomously for up to three years due to the high battery capacity. MDS-PIR is used very successfully as perimeter protection to prevent intrusion through a fence. The protection of objects is also possible quickly and easily thanks to the completely free installation and autonomous operation of the sensor and is therefore a core application of the MDS-PIR. The sensor detects living, moving objects at a maximum distance of 15 m. Smaller living objects (such as small animals) and moving objects from the surrounding area (such as grass) are ignored.

The sensor also reports if it is moved or tampered with. This also detects the theft of the object on which the MDS-PIR is mounted. Entrances to rooms or containers and other potential entry points can also be monitored easily and, thanks to the high battery capacity, over the long term without the need for an additional power supply. The sensor’s internet-based communication with the my.viamon portal generates an alarm, visualizes the current situation, tracks the object, informs on the basis of an alarm plan (VdS 2465 protocol, SMS, e-mail, smartphone app or cell phone) and reacts with the involvement of the security forces. The warning bar can also be connected as an additional actuator to an existing alarm system.

SENSOR MDS-I

SENSOR MDS-I is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the solar industry, but can also be used in other areas.

The MDS-I is the basic sensor of the viamon technology. This patented device reacts to vibrations and changes in position (GPS). If the sensor is moved, it immediately sends an alarm signal via GSM and short-range radio to the viamon GmbH alarm center, which is active around the clock and registers the signal. From there, the information is forwarded and the communication chain stored in the alarm plan is activated (VdS 2465 protocol, SMS, e-mail, smartphone app or cell phone). The MDS-I is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the solar industry, but can also be used in other areas. It is integrated directly into the module, inverter, etc. so that it is not visible from the outside. Installation is quick and easy, both as a factory installation for new systems and as a retrofit for existing systems. The sensors are installed on the basis of a sophisticated safety concept that takes into account the specific situation on site as well as the use of other complementary technologies such as infrared sensors, cameras, etc. The interaction of the various sensors in a coordinated overall concept dramatically reduces the false alarm rate and ensures a high level of redundancy.

Power is supplied by the PV module and a long-life rechargeable battery as a buffer.
Using GPS, the sensor and thus the stolen objects can be located worldwide. This means that the position of the stolen goods is normally known worldwide and around the clock. This information can then be transmitted to the investigating authorities to solve the crime and used to recover the stolen goods. The system has already proven itself several times in the case of thefts at home and abroad.
The sensor technology can be expanded as required, e.g. to record temperature, humidity, etc.

WARNING BAR

THE WARNING BELL WITH GSM MONITOR for immediate deterrence of intruders

Communication between the various sensors is important for the overall system. For this reason, the functionality of the communication is specially protected and monitored. If, for example, attackers attempt to interrupt communication in the park by jamming, the GSM monitor integrated in the device detects this and issues an acoustic and visual warning. The jamming detector can be controlled externally via integration into the system’s network and via mobile radio. The warning bar fulfills an important function in the overall viamon concept. It provides an optical and acoustic warning signal and is therefore an important component in deterring potential thieves in the early stages of an attempted theft.
If the device is activated by a signal from the sensors, powerful warning lights and flashes (2 x 12 3W LEDs; 2.1 Hz flashes; (blue or yellow)) light up. A siren with a maximum sound pressure level of 116 dB(A) sounds unmistakably.

LIGHT & SOUND

Speakers and spotlights for LIGHT & SOUND

This solution is based on weatherproof outdoor loudspeakers and a remote-controlled, movable searchlight. It is controlled automatically via the viamon sensor network so that an alarm is responded to immediately. For security reasons, we will not go into any more detail here to prevent potential perpetrators from gaining any information. The viamon team is always available for more insights and individual advice.

Our focus is on a sensor-based security concept for maximum protection. We see cameras as a supplement, but not as a substitute for a complete security concept. They are only used if they are considered appropriate by our experts in the individual concept or at particularly security-critical points.
